Kajour is a Web 2.0 educational website and 21st-century learning engagement platform that provides teachers and students with an online extension to the classroom™. Kajour combines the worlds of instructional content and learning management systems with popular online social media applications like blogging, wikis, forums, chat, podcasting, groups, messaging, and microblogging.

Kajour leverages traditional and contemporary teaching and learning practices. Kajour is designed by teachers, for teachers, so it's in synch with the way teachers think and how students engage. It is an educationally relevant social networking™ experience that safely extends the classroom into the online world and engages students as active participants in their learning.

All kajour class spaces are behind login, and all student and teacher work remain behind login. Only members of a kajour class can view student work and teacher comments. The registration process requires three steps, (1) registration for the kajour website, (2) student registration for a class with a teacher-supplied registration code, and (3) teacher approval of student registrations, so that no one other than a known student can register and be approved for a class.

Best of all, Kajour is free to K-12 public school teachers, preservice teachers in accredited preservice teaching programs, and teachers pursuing their masters in education, masters in teaching, or other accredited master of education degree.
